Creating Homedart App Messages

Agents are able to use the Homedart app manually create video messages to send to leads or use as digital promotion. The types of Homedart messages are lead follow-ups, social media video ads, and sneak peek videos for properties that are not yet on the market.

Lead Follow-ups

Watch this 1 minute video on using Homedart to send lead follow-ups.

Follow these steps to send videos messages via text or email with the Homedart app:

  1. Open the Homedart app. Press Create at the bottom of the screen. From top of the Create screen, select the Message Type and choose from one of the (first) 5 message types as referenced below.

  2. Enter the property address or MLS#.

  3. Enter contact name, mobile and email address*

  4. Press Send.

*Pro tip shortcut - Go to Contact and select the lead’s name. Press on Lead Follow-up and the Homedart app will pre-populate the follow-up form with all contact info for that lead and the option to select message type at that time.

Message Types with corresponding video and text messaging:

  • New Property to Market – message and video to clients mentions that this is a property that just hit the market

  • Follow-Up – message and video is more informal and does not provide a full introduction of the agent. Instead, its more “Hi, this is Carey…”

  • Follow-up Lite - same as follow-up except that the property video does not include custom video message of the agent.

  • Intro w/ pitch – used as an initial lead contact. Video and text message includes formal introduction of agent.

  • Open House – same video and text used as the follow-up to an open house from the Homedart registration platform except that these messages are manually sent by the agent from the app.

Social Media Ads

Follow these steps to create and share social media video ads with the Homedart app:

  1. Open the Homedart app. Press Create at the bottom of the screen. From top of the Create screen, press on the Message Type bar and scroll down to select Post, Ad, or Ad - FB.

  2. Enter the property address or MLS#.

  3. Provide a unique name for the Ad Link to be created*

  4. Press Create Link button.

  5. Press Copy Link button. The URL for the ad is now copied to the clipboard of the Homedart app or your browser.

  6. Paste the Link on Facebook, Linked In, or as an email footer.

*Pro tip - Overwrite the property name, abbreviate it, and then add today’s date to identify when the ad was created and to distinguish between it and other ads. For example, instead of “14 Virginia Place in Larchmont”, you might write “14 Virginia Pl 08012019.”

Social Media Ad Types:

  • Post – Video ad includes an informal greeting by the agent. Use this option when creating a property post for your immediate circle of Facebook friends.

  • Ad – Video ad includes a more formal greeting by the agent and the poster image for the ad includes is stamped with a video play button. Use this option when distributing your property ad to a broader audience.

  • Ad - FB - same as the Ad, except that the poster image for the ad does not include a video play button. This ad meets Facebook’s stricter requirements for ads.

Sneak Peeks

Follow these steps to create Sneak Peek video ads for properties that are Coming Soon:

  1. Open the Homedart app. Press Create at the bottom of the screen. From top of the Create screen, select the Message Type and scroll down to the message option Sneak Peek.

  2. Name the Sneak Peek. The name will not be visible to the public and is for reporting purposes only.

  3. Write a video caption in five to eight words that will appear on top of the video slide show being created.

  4. Press the Add Photo button and select from 3 to 5 photos to use for your sneak peek video. Photos should be landscape orientation (not portrait) and each can take up no more than 7.5 mb of storage size.

  5. Press Create Sneak Peek.

  6. Copy the link provided and use it to promote your upcoming listing on social media or for email distribution.
